Join composer Elissa Goodrich + evolutionary biologist Dr Anna Syme in conversation with writer/broadcaster Melissa Cranenburgh.

Walk the Verge
Traverse the city on a grand tour with artists and BLINDSIDE friends. Walk your way via selected sites to Bar Americano, then reminisce on your adventure over a cocktail in glamorous ‘old world’ style.

Guerilla Theatre
See unexpected city sites activated by fervent artists, amusing wordsmiths and a Fat Boy Dancing. Watch out for Didem Caia, Michael Cutrupi, Tatjana Este, Zan Griffith, Darcy Kent, Magic Steven and Bo Svoronas. 

Explore Poetry
Participate in a roaming poetry project across Melbourne. A poem, of course, is always open for business with Cassandra Smith + Morgan Jonesexplores the relationship between poetry, people and public space. 

Repeat 1
Hear roaming singers serenade you throughout the city! Repeat 1 is a collaboration between visual artist Sarah Rudledge and Newlands Choir, Musique Uniqueand singers Bec Fitzgibbon, Leona Gray, Mia Gartley, Henry Barratt, Emily Harvey, Meredith Louise, Madeline Hance, Nikita Brockmüller. Three performances will take place across the festival. Commencing from Blindside, singers will weave their way through the Capitol Arcade and surrounding laneways. 

VergeLive
Presented by BLINDSIDE and Jared Kuvent, VergeLive is a collaborative project launched for BLINDSIDE’s On The Verge festival. This experimental online platform provides a virtual space for collaborators to synthesise festival experiences through diverse forms of digital documentation. Visit VergeLive each day and see the festival’s more ephemeral moments captured by creative minds: vergelive.org

BLINDSIDE presents On The Verge – an experimental art festival of chance encounters, immersive soundscapes and intimate creative exchanges. For 11 days art will materialise in the alleyways and byways of Melbourne’s CBD. New works and site-responsive performances will disrupt and transform the spaces we take for granted.
