UNTITLED
19 June - 6 July 2013
Opening Night | Thursday 20 June 6-8pm

Giving an exhibition a title such as Untitled might seem like a cop out; however this exhibition is precisely about the nature of the unnameable; it will examine the gap between language and our sense of smell. Olfaction lacks its own lexicon; it is a language of simile and metaphor. When asked to describe a smell we often preface the description by “it smells like” or “it reminds me of”. Untitled will test and highlight the inadequacy of language and olfaction in playful and interactive environment.
